The 6 Deadly Sins Of Internet Marketers

No time today for jibber jabber…

Let’s get down to business.

I’ve compiled a brief list of what I call “The 6 Deadly Sins Of Internet Marketers.” Avoid doing these things and you’ll grow your wallet like Jack’s freaky beanstalk.

Ready?

*1.) Not thoroughly understanding your prospects.

This includes not knowing their major fears, frustrations, desires, and irrational fantasies about their situation (both good and bad.)

Ex: what are your prospects afraid to admit even to themselves?

*2.) Not deeply caring about your prospects.

I prolly should have put this first.

It’s THAT important.

Sadly, most marketers don’t *really* care about their prospects.

They might act like it…

…but they care more about their complicated and slightly perverted relationship with their sultry and seductive mistress named Money.

*3.) Not building your list.

You’ve heard it before…

And you’ll certainly hear it again.

Build your freakin’ list already!

*4.) Not following up with your list on a regular basis.

This is a tricky subject.

Do it right, and you’re bank account will be bustin’ at the seams.

On the other hand, do it wrong, and you ruin your relationship with your prospects, customers, and even your future business partners.

Treat your list like gold!

*5.) Expecting the biggest profits to come on the first sale.

I’d rather break even (or lose money on the first sale) knowing that I now have a customer for life! Don’t think of paying your affiliates or for advertisements as a cost. Instead, look at it like an investment that will pay you back 10-fold over time.

*6.) Deriving your happiness from money.

Take it from Tyler Durden in Fight Club…

“You’re not your job. You’re not how much money you have in the bank. You’re not the car you drive. You’re not the contents of your wallet. You’re not your flippin’ khakis.”
