It’s no wonder most people quiver when they even heard the S-word. “Sales” is almost thought of as a dirty word in many circles. But let me tell you…
If you can’t sell, you’re toast.
A dead man walking.
And, this is even more true online.
People are more inclined to resist whatever you’re peddling.
That’s just thy nature of the internet.
But don’t let it discourage you.
Once you learn a few secrets (that almost nobody talks about), you’re golden. With less effort and less stress, you’ll make more sales automatically.
Here’s what you need to realize about selling online:
1.) EVERYONE Has A.D.D.
More than likely you’re prospect is doing 36 other things while looking at your offer. They’re probably chatting on Skype, checking their latest Tweets, and listening to Pandora.
Don’t take it personally.
Just realize you ain’t the only one vying for their attention.
You must cut through the clutter.
2.) DITCH Your Highlighters, Fake Screenshots, and Rented Cars
If you’ve been in the intro-net marketing world for long…
You know that hypey marketers love them some highlighter.
They also love their fake Clickbank screenshots, pictures of their rented Ferraris, and a hot girl they hired on Craigslist to pose as their GF.
To me it’s all a bunch of horse hockey.
If anything, it BREAKS trust rather than builds it.
(The exact opposite of what we’re going for.)
3.) DON’T Give Away The Farm
This is an interesting discussion.
Everyone loves to talk about “moving the freeline.”
In other words, it’s a competition to see who can give away the most stuff for free. And more than building rapport it actually breaks rapport and eliminates the desire to buy something.
In other words…
“Why buy a cow when you can get the milk for free?!”
Give away some good info upfront, but not all of it.
There’s one guy that really teaches this stuff amazingly well.
He’s build an 8 figure a year business doing it.
And to be completely honest…
